Welcome to Project Registration for the 2017 Alaska Science & Engineering Fair.
The event is March 25, 2017 at the Northway Mall in Anchorage, Alaska. Please plan to attend the event in person.
If you are registering a team project, please register only one time.
If you are in 6th grade, decide ahead of time whether you will register as elementary or middle school. Click here for more details.
Are you in 6th grade and want to enter the Alaska Science & Engineering Fair? You have a choice to register as an elementary school or middle school student. How do you decide? Here are some hints to help you:
- If you are enrolled in a middle school, register as a middle school student.
- If you are enrolled in an elementary school, register as an elementary school student.
- If you are in a homeschool or K-12 school, ask your teacher/parent/guardian which he or she recommends.
- If you did your project as part of a classroom assignment, ask your teacher how you should register.
- If you have a team project with another person who is in 7th or 8th grade, register as middle school.
If you have a team project with another person who is in 5th grade or lower, register as elementary school.
By submitting this registration form, you agree to the following terms. If this is a team project, all members of the team agree to the terms:
- I have read and understand the rules and regulations for the Alaska Science and Engineering Fair, as listed on the “Summary of Rules for Participating in the 2017 Alaska State Science and Engineering Fair.”
- I understand that I must be present at my exhibit for judging on Saturday, March 25, 2017 to be eligible for top prizes.
Judging times are listed on the 2017 schedule of events, and I have noted the times for my age group. - I understand that I must remove my exhibit from the exhibit area between 5:00pm and 6:30pm on Saturday, March 25, or between 12:00pm and 4:00pm on Sunday, March 26, 2017. I will not remove my project earlier than 5:00pm on Saturday. I know that unclaimed projects will be discarded. I agree that Alaska Science and Engineering Fair, Inc., is not responsible for loss or damage to exhibits.
I agree to share this information with my parent or guardian so that there are no last-minute surprises. (A copy of this information will appear on your confirmation email.)
Hint: Please use proper capitalization for your name and project title. Enter these as you wish them to appear on your participation certificate and other materials. Do not use all capital letters or all lower case letters. For example, enter Albert Einstein (right!) and The Study of Relativity (right!) instead of albert einstein (all lower case wrong!) and THE STUDY OF RELATIVITY (all upper case wrong!).
